First week of June roared in as eight staff members, including myself, went to the Lafayette Google Summit. It was really exciting to bring so many new faces into the Google world and open their eyes to the possibilities of GAFE.
This two day summit, followed by a one day Google Boot Camp, was jam packed with fascinating and informational sessions. It was really great to introduce my coworkers to my tech colleague Marcie, who was amazed how many teachers I brought along.
By the end of this adventure in Lafayette, I learned a lot of tips and tricks with GAFE. I can not wait for the school year to begin in August.
I went to Baton Rouge the second week of June to go to the LACUE Technology Summit. This was the second year for them to have this but the first one that I have been to. I have been to the LACUE Conferences in New Orleans for a few years now, but this was tailored for technology leaders. I was able to meet up with Marcie and hang out and discuss different technology events and issues, which is great because I always leave with new tips and tricks.
